About Our High Anxiety/Fear Dog Training

Is your canine companion struggling with anxiety or fear-related issues, making daily life a challenge for both of you? At Sit Means Sit St. Petersburg, we can help address these concerns and build confidence in your pup while reducing their fear-based behavior.

Recognizing Signs of Anxiety & Fear in Dogs:

  • Panting
  • Excessive Licking
  • Trembling
  • Destroying things
  • Pacing
  • Growling
  • Excessive whining or barking
  • Excessive yawning
  • Disinterest in Owner

In controlled environments, our expert trainers will gradually expose your dog to triggers, allowing them to build confidence at their own pace. This method helps your dog learn to cope with previously fear-inducing situations in a positive and contained manner. At Sit Means Sit, we also encourage positive behavior through rewards and reinforcement. By associating positive experiences with specific situations, we aim to replace high anxiety responses with more appropriate behaviors. This approach can help foster a sense of accomplishment and security in your anxious pup.

If you notice signs of anxiety or fear in your dog, don’t hesitate to reach out to our team of experienced behaviorists at Sit Means Sit St. Petersburg.

When I took in my little girl she was hard to control and I was lost on how best to teacher her basic commands. I knew I needed help. Sit Means Sit taught my girl to listen and confidence. They taught me how to talk and build trust between us. Our group classes keeps my Annabelle confident and interested in continuing to learn new things. I’m so thankful to have found Sit Means Sit.

If I could give more than 5 stars I would. They go above and beyond in all aspects of training and explaining to the owners/parents as to what was done at any particular lesson. I’ve never been great at writing reviews, but I had to give these people the best I could do. When / if I need to revisit I most certainly will not hesitate to go back to Sit Means Sit.
